Hi Glenn,

we're just discussing the 'custom mixer' issue in the team section of the forum

We're working on a solution for calculating customer mixer settings.
This is what we've ended in first instance. The value should give you an idea about the difference needed between the Pitch and Roll mixer.
I haven't flown this mixer setting yet, so it's used at own risk (you will need to scale it for use with the PID mixer; Yaw and Trottle were +/-100 there --> 108.7 (pitch) and 102.04 (roll)).

Thanks Joerg, I'll give that mixer a go. The reduced yaw values are interesting. Are you running default pitch/roll/yaw PIDs, or have they also been adjusted?

I wonder if the difference between pitch and roll is enough? On my QAV540g which has a similar weight distribution to the Camcruiser, my well-tuned Arducopter PIDs are double on the pitch axis compared to the roll axis.

I just tried those PIDs, but running +/-25 yaw was a no go. There was no yaw control after takeoff. QGC wouldn't let me enter pitch/roll mixer values higher than 100 either, but I could do it manually through the param list.

Joerg, those are Quatos values, not suitable for PID control, even with "scaling." Glenn, don't use them.

I'm not sure of the parameter name, but to increase the horizontal speed in PH mode, under the misc settings tab in QGC, it's the 'max speed' parameter you should be changing.

I'm not sure how to change the max vertical speed in PH, other than the 'max descent rate' option, but I don't know if that controls the ascent rate too. I would like to bump mine up to 3-4m/s
