Thanks for info, but that's not the problem. The motor run only till 4100 rpm, the ecalc website says 5100 rpm max on my setup...

Ralf

Try running one of your motor with a common ESC to see how fast your motor and prop combination will spin to be sure that the motor specs are correct.

Have you done the throttle calibration for the ESC32 V2?

Am set all Parameters to default, then change some as needed and run the calibration....one result in the esc32.txt attached

You should be able to use the esc32cal from QGC 1.6.3.1 as well. above description was used with ESC32V3 but works for ESC32V2 too.

I can't run the calibration from cli interface. With putty I can connect and change settings if I want. But if I run the calibration, the motor start, slows down and then stopped. I must repower the esc to connect again with putty or the ground control...
Am solder another esc to the motor, but this have a wrong timing, at half throttle the motor began to stutter...looking for one "Simonk-esc", this one should work.
All other motors (3) that am connected in the past to the esc work fine...only this one makes me mad !
Am bought this motors for longer flight times, this will work, now I can hover 12 min with the same setup (in past only 6-8 min) but no reserves of power.
I don't want to by new esc or other stuff...
Edit: am using the 2.1.0 r58 b6185 firmware for the esc...with this am using the older motors too....

Hi Ralf,
as I said already:
1.) load default values for all ESC32 params and store them to flash.
2.) change start params to give you a motor that starts at all stator positions (no of poles, ADVANCE, START_VOLTAGE, START_ALIGN_VOLTAGE); increase BAD_DETECTS_DISARM and MAX_PERIOD as well
3.) change switch frequency to a lower value; I doubt your motor is able to run at 20kHz with the 15in prop attached
4.) test if your motor starts; do this a few times to see if it starts a different positions. If not, adjust ADVANCE (increase +1 and start-/start align voltage)
5.) set MAX_CURRENT (overall current limiter) to 20A (motor spec says max 18)
4.) run RPM2voltage calibration from CLI with a virtual current limit (calibration current) of 17A and post the results here (output log)

If your motor starts, slows down and stops you need to further increase start voltage and start align voltage (start align voltage = start voltage - 10%).
I suggest to start with switching frequency of 14kHz or 16kHz. If your motor is able to finish R2V calibration you will know the MAX_CURRENT it is using at full throttle, as well as the RPM it reaches.

Hi Ralf,

this tells you that your motor/prop combination is able to reach 4041RPM @11.30V, drawing 15.18A.

Before going to 4S I would suggest to store FF1/FF2TERM in ROM and change some parameters as below:
PWM_RPM_SCALE 4100
MAX_CURRENT 16

Now run the virtual current limiter calibration with these parameters and post the results again.

When you say 'not happy with the result' what is the problem? Max RPM? Motor manufacturers parameters are not always right...

Am solder an KISS esc (from my A4-NanoHexa) to one motor....WoooHH!! No start stutters or other problems ! Runs smooth and fine from zero to full throttle ! I consider to use KISS esc`s in my setup...

You can reach 100% duty with theses values. Would be worth to check the real RPM-range with a measurement device and compare it to the setup with KISS.

I'm also waiting for the new KISS 24A race edition; want to test them as well :shock:
