AQ6 w/ DIMU : mag-cal. & follow me ?

Though i know it´s still Beta, i have a question about follow me function.

On my AQ6, i gt the message "waiting for mag accurancy" when i try to engage follow me. What does this mean ?
I was out in a field, away from overhead cables, we had clear blue sky, and i also tried to calibrate mag again ( seems it worked but have no clue if everything is really perfect).

What also made me wonder during my testing was that gps changed between 2d-lock and 3d-lock several times, though normaly environmental conditions should have been perfect for a permanent 3d-lock. (My Samsung S5 found 18 sat´s within 10 seconds on UBlox UCenter)

I´m using the orginal AQ-Shield underneath the antenna.

May this problem caused by the power distribution under the AQ-pcb ? Shall i add a ground plane between power distribution board and AQ ? Or is my problem anyhwere else ? (or does it simly not work at the present AQ-version ?)

okay Jörg, but guess the HOTT-Built will not be the perfect solution when using other type of rc ?

But htat´s not much important at the moment, i primary made thoughts if it could indicate any problem with my hardware, but if it´s not running actually, everythings okay and i can concentrate on PID-tuning in the first (enough to do, thought yesterday it would be fling nice but when wind gusts appear, the AQ start shaking - so still enough to figure out ).

Nav-PID is a theme on its own, guess there is the reason for that jitter on gusty weather in PosHold. But still need to play around with settings, was hard enough to get it halfway hover in normal mode

Your GPS signal can be compromised by having your telemetry radio too close to your GPS antenna. Also your RC receiver can cause problems if it's mounted too close, especially if your receiver has telemetry.

thanks Larry, so guess this all shouldnt be a real problem. Receiver has no telemetry (normal Futaba FASST), right beneath GPS-dome, put between carbon centerplates, antennas with distance to frame. BT-module the same, bt-antenna shouldnt disturb. But will place underneath centerplates for comparing. Long range telemetry at 433 mhz does not work so i removed it meanwhile (guess will look for xbee or something like that, these cheap H.K. modules may work or not)

What a beautiful machine. Are the tubes standard ones from rosewhite? What direction does the CF have?

This is the standard kit of Rosewhites Tamara X8 , the tubes are cross-woven carbon, hope you can see it in attached detail picture.

Crizz: these RC-Timer modules do work: http://www.rctimer.com/product-834.html
They only need to be configured for 115200 baud rate. If you need longer range the XBees are a good choice.
