Descending while flying forward/backward [resolved]

Postby jet » Fri Apr 17, 2015 2:43 pm

Hi, all.
For position hold, when my throttle was in center position, I let my AQ6 fly forward or backward.
My AQ6 always descended automatically; then, my AQ6 ascended.
If I let my AQ6 flied left or right, the aforementioned condition did not happen.
Based on the AQ6 wiki, I tried to decrease altitude position P and increase navigation speed I.
The condition still existed.
I checked the values of ACC and MAG that were close to 9.9 and 2.1.
Does anyone have any suggestion?
Thanks for help.

I checked the previous discussions.
I resolved my problem.
1.I calibrated altitude override again.
2.I decreased NAV_SPEED_P and NAV_SPEED_I.
Thanks all members.

Hi jet, I have the same problem for a long time.

Which topic disucussion did you refer to.
What do you mean by calibrate altitude override.

Thanks.

Thanks.

But it won't be altitude override calibrate case(Adjusting the Throttle Factor), because the condition mention here only happen when forward/backward not left/right.

Why decreasing NAV_SPEED_P and NAV_SPEED_I could resolve this case.

Best regards.

Descending while flying forward/backward [resolved]

Moin !
I have the same problem, but also when moving left / right.
Testing it in/outdoors, with and without gps look, all pids tuned without success.
If the copter stays in PH in place, then all ok. In manual mode also all ok , too...but if I command for/back/left or right , it loses high....but I goes back to the start high...
But every time I start moving it goes down...
Some ideas?

You guys could try re-doing the level calibration (tare). And/or verify your calibration using these steps (at least in Part 1): http://autoquad.org/wiki/wiki/configuri ... -influence

Hi, all.
If your AQ6 had a DIMU, don't forget to put a foam under the DIMU (http://autoquad.org/wiki/wiki/autoquad- ... arometers/).

To Luxar:
You could try to decrease Nav distance p (http://autoquad.org/wiki/wiki/configuri ... eshooting/).
Do you check altitude override, ACC and MAG as well as Max's suggestion?

To EX_TRUE:
If you did not check altitude override, when flying forward/backward, AQ6 ascended/descended of course.
If altitude override is OK, you could read this: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=4427

Anyway, tuning needed time and reading wiki and discussions again and again.
Wish these suggestions are helpful.

I check all suggestions ! Made new tare/ onboard calibration.
Than checked MAG and ACC with this results: if the copter stays level, MAG magnitude is around 1.8 , if I turn the copter left (45 degrees) the MAG magnitude goes to 2 . If I turn it right (45 degrees) it goes to 1.75 ...

I make the tare / onboard calibration if the weather are better again
