voltage drop: search for the cause

Postby stefannn » Mon Feb 16, 2015 12:26 am

Hello Autoquad Universe,

upon revving up the voltage of the main battery drops sharply from (3S) 11.8 volts to below 7 volts. The copter barely takes of, battery warning stage 1 kicks in, then stage 2 and eventually it lands. Should be an ESC or a motor, but as the critical components (except for the mistreated battery) remain cool I am struggling to find the cause of the problem.

OK, here is what I have:
Copter: Rosewhite Rubina hexa-x
Motors: Tiger MT2206, 1200 kV
Propeller: 9x3
ESC: ESC32 FW ver: 2.0.0
Bus: CAN
FC: revision 1 AQ6 board with DIMU 1.1
AQ FW ver: 7.0 - EXPR rev445 b1866, HW ver: 6 rev1
FC settings (PID, ...): stock settings
Total weight including lander, gimbal and 3S 5000 mAh battery: approx. 1.800 grams

As the copter showed a slight tendency to yaw during the emergency landings which, I suppose, were forced by battery stage 2, I figured one of the ESCs or the motors should be the cause of the problem. But neither became even slightly warm.

Kindly find below a link to the log files of the test. Comments and suggestions are highly appreciated.
