Refference QUAD 400 KISS (yet another...)

I want to introduce this small refference quad that flies incredible well. It's easy to build (in a few hours) and cheap. It´s the best way form newbies to get into AQ world.

You can buy all from Flyduino/Viacopter, and can be used with AQ board V6 or M4. This is using standard V6 board and using KISS. This is what I used:

@Jan:
- I use PID because it works great with KISS esc´s . Quatos it´s still possible but you need to do some calibrations and tunning to get pwm vs thrust curve. I tryied that with good results but need more tunning work. The PID system works perfect, although miss the "adaptativeness" of QUATOS.
- Ratio weight/power of this quad is simple perfect (IMHO). It´s a copy of Warthox setup used for acro and general use (I use also for acro with Nanowii controller). Highly recomended and cheap.
- The KISS (Keep It Super Simple) don´t need any calibration. Just put the params on AQ board, perform Acc and Mag calibration (1 min total) and get a perfect flight.

I can ensure you that yhis is the simplest and cheap way to get into AQ world, but not only that because it flies really well so it´s a good test machine for new code changes.

Would love Top der this flying with M4. Why not upload the settings so others save the efford of tuning the PIDs?

Sure. Find those parameters attached. Please note that I´m using board 6.0

By the way, params are very close the same to those of my bigger quad also with KISS but with MN3110 motors and 1.5 Kg. See this post: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3762

Hi Angel,

Could you post a flight log of this machine?
Preferably of a flight where you used pos/alt hold.
I'd like to see how much vibration get through to the AQ board in manual mode and other flight modes.

@Angel: Thanks for the log file. I compared it with a log file of a flight in very a windy situation (around 7-8 m/s = Beaufort scale 4-5). I'm still amazed how stable this small quadcopter flies and holds altitude and position in strong wind. Sometimes it appears to perform better with wind than in windstill weather.

My acc xyz values are a little bit higher than yours, but thats to be expected for a windy situation. I had my questions about the peak values outside the 1 m/s2 bandwidth on the z-axis, but now I see you have that too.
Overall I'm very happy with the performance. There's still a small problem that needs to be addressed. Sometimes my quadcopter drops or rises about a meter (a real jump, fast movement). This happens mostly when I start flying within a minute after connecting the battery. I think this behaviour is related to the relatively high values for GPS hAcc and vAcc. After a couple of minutes they drop below 1 m and the behaviour is gone.
