Just wondering what people are using to calculate the appropriate prop size for their hexa?
My hexa has an AUW of 3.5kgs and I'm using tiger motors 11x3.7 carbon props. It hovers at around 60 - 65% of throttle. I have read that I should be aiming for a 50% throttle hover! is this correct?
I'm using the following:
- tiger motor 700kv MN3110-17 motors
- 4s battery
- AUW 3500 grams including payload and batt
The problem I have is it seems very slow to react to fast movements and it also had a case of the divergence problem as listed on the forum. I have never seen my craft do this before, but I have changed the props to a lower pitched prop.
If I need to purchase the 12x 4 tiger motors props to fix the problem, I will, but don't want to waste to much more money.
Also I'm considering copying teramax and make an X8 as I have had to many issues trying to get the right prop combo for this setup
Thanks for your replies
