You need to define the arm length in XML file. In next version i calc length with motor position.

Hi Fred,
one thing you should consider for the next release: is it possible to keep the cube name when writing the wrl-file? If not one has to change it back again if the data is further processed.

Here's a 3D .PDF file for all off you who are keen to know what you'll get with this tool. O.K., made some re-coloring and also change the cube names to match the .xml-file.
I've used 3D-Tool (http://www.3d-tool.com) to do this; also used to generate the 3D pdf.

sorry for the delay! Tested the new convert.tcl today.
For standard frame types it is o.k. - I've attached the .XML file for my rOsewhite Rachel - , but for custom geometry the arms are too short. I think it's only half the real-life size!

P.S. Is it possible to keep the cube names or not? Have not done any touchup work on the .wrl so far; cubes names were 'Shell1' to 'Shell n' instead of names form the .xml.

For custom frame, I forget to make translation of arms. It' done now arm have full size.

In program I dont define cubes name like 'Shell1'

For cube name could you send me your wrl file modify with correct name
