Hi Fred

I guess rearview would be nice. The docs for Quatos have sort of rearview graphics and when writing XML probably most users use rearview. But more important is to add a reference xyz or an arrow foreward or something other to make the orientation clear for dumba.... like me. :D

Cheers

Rearview +1 - as Christof said.
If you could add the axis representation that would be great too.

Hi Frank,

just wanted to make a new visualization of the re-build Spider frame when I noticed an error in the visualization tool:
Capture.JPG
Shown arm (ARM-1) should be front-left and NOT rear-right

Here is the related geometry section from the .xml-file:
Code: Select all
        <!-- DJI clone nylon arms were changed against alu arms. They are longer (26.4cm -> ca. 5cm longer) and more rigid
         http://www.goodluckbuy.com/dji-f450-f550-aluminum-alloy-arm-26-4cm-length-black-2-pack.html
        -->
        <geometry>
            <motor port="1" rotation="+1">+0.205, -0.220</motor>
            <motor port="2" rotation="-1">+0.205, +0.220</motor>
            <motor port="3" rotation="+1">-0.215, +0.211</motor>
            <motor port="4" rotation="-1">-0.215, -0.211</motor>
        </geometry>

.xml and .wrl file are attached. Please check and let me have your feedback.
Joerg

Hi Fred,
this seems still wrong! Arm 1 is now in front-left position (=MotorA), but remaining arms were positioned counterclockwise --> arm 2 is in rear left instead of front right etc.

Hi Fred

Is there an online vrml viewer, or better still could it be combined with a free VRML viewer such as the one below?
