DIMU Pin issue

Anybody can help me to check J1 right hand side that 2 pins are short together? I want to clarify it before plug the battery on. thank you.

That appears to be pins 2 and pins 4 and they should not be shorted together. Pins 1 and 2 are connected. Look very closely for any solder bridges.

Damn, i got pin 2, 4 short togther when i m using meter test. but i cant see any short circuit using Magnifying glass. Need to take out the socket ..... to check. And good idea how to overcome the short circuit problem of pin 2, 4.

Don't beat yourself up, it could of been their and you didn't know it. That is temp1 coming off of U17 and I don't think we use the value anymore. The problem I see is it is shorted to 5 volts and goes to a non 5 volt tolerant pin on the mcu. Well the damage may be done already, you just found the problem.

If you mounted that connector and then soldered the pins it's most likely you would see the short. If you put solder paste on the pads and then heated them then maybe you have a short under the connector.

I don't have an xray view of that board so can't tell you any other likely places other than the obvious one that passes right in front of Pin2. You might try to solder wick those 2 pins clean and hope you draw the short off. Too much heat and you'll lift the pads. Removing the connector can be challenging but hot air or Chipquik can do it without pulling any traces from the board.

You might consider sending it to your vender for repair.
