Boredom?
I saw the indoor vid - with an even more intensive hornet sound.

I see no GPS module - can you make it hover in PH in front of a big bloom? That'll make a nice picture.
If you paint the hood in yellow & black you certainly could freak out some neighbours with your monster hornet! :D

Yah ... and how the heck do you control the motors? Did you use the ones from the LB boards?

Steve, very nice one!

I can play that game too. Here is my AQSL6 (AutoQuad SuperLight 6). AUW is 299 grams with a 1000 3S, flighttime around 12 minutes. Carries a GoPro with no problem.

ESC´s are turnigy 6A with SimonK FW (I really wish we had a smaller version of ESC32 so I could convert it to L1, but not sure its within my skillset to make a layout for it)

Frame contructed from 1 and 1.5mm G10 (from penguin hobbies), assembled with M2*6 screws and Tnuts. Custom Power distribution board.

Hextronik 10 gram, 2000KV with 5*3 Hyperdrive props.

It's way to heavy to be practical, I just wanted to see if I could drive the fet's on the little part of the LB board and to see
if the magnetometer can tolerate the motors. It was simple to change the motor output to 1000 hz and set the motor to put out 0 to 1000us. 1000us would be full on. I was amazed when I picked it up and added power and it was rigid in space.

It can't lift our 17 gram gps antenna, I might try a little helical I have and see if it will hold position. It's less than 180 mm motor to motor. It's very stable, the wind was blowing pretty good when I filmed it.

AQSL6 video. Still some tuning to be done on altitude hold to get rid of the bounce.

That fly's good Jussi, how much does it weigh. I'm at 100 grams without the battery's. About what the gopro weighs.

Woah, 100 grams...

Im at 299 with the 1000 3S, could shave about 35 grams off, by going with a 500. Each motor/prop can deliver about 135 grams, so there should be enough overhead for a slightly bigger cam. It flies good with the GoPro and produces very smooth video. Next challenge is a Brushless gimbal for it, but I need to work on a driver board that does not use the LD motor drivers.

GP3 black is about 73 grams, we have been eyeballing some termoformable CF plate for a gimbal, and with some 15 gram motors and custom driver board, we should be able to make something that hits the 150gram mark. But its gonna be a bit of a project, I think...

One of the limitations of all this has been the size of a stabilized camera ship, I'm not thrilled with the Gopro wide angle lens but it still does a a great job especially when up close. That little guy could fly comfortably in many places that the Cinestar wouldn't dare go. If you could make one with a frame around it so the props could no touch anyone then it opens up another window of opportunity.

That's a tool, mines a toy.

I think I have a solution for the motor drivers that might work well, but could you point me to this "thermoformable CF"?
