AQ M4 micro quad tuning

Postby Flyer324 » Fri Jun 17, 2016 1:52 am

I've built a ladybird frame'd quad with AQ M4 and some 60mm props for the motors and i just can not get it flying stable. I have tuned AM1, AM2, L1_K1, and PROP_K1 for about an hour trying different settings. It is flying mostly good, but then just randomly starts to oscillate out of control into a crash.

I want to get it working on these props.. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... _pcs_.html

My values are

AM1 -8
AM2 -50
PROP_K1 - 220
L1_K1 - 13.5

any ideas?

I've used the attached parameter file on a number of 3D printed frame quadcopters. The quad used the 8mm motors also. If your frame has too much vibrations you might have a loss of control because of it.

Thanks, I finally gave up on the props... IDK if it was vibrations, or maybe my motors could not adjust rpm fast enough to remain stable with those props...

I will give them one more go with some settings that more resemble what you have set.
