M4+N4 with 6s battery

Hi all. I want to build new quadcopter on Autoquad M4+N4 expander.
I am planning to use 6s battery. How to avoid damage of n4 expansion board? As i know they supports only 5s battery.

May be I can just desolder recom and solder step-down voltage regulator? It will work?

There are N4s with up to 32V available. Ask Jussi/Viacopter:

Hi Brat,

I have a N4 that does 6s with a R-78B5.0-1.0 Recom that does 32 volts and it works just fine.
So if you have a step-down voltage regulator that has the same pinouts its no problem.

Ray is right. Replacing the Recom with this part will make it work up to 32V:

I have pololu https://www.pololu.com/product/2843/specs, that fits to n4 board. But this model give only 500ma. It will work?

Hi Brat,

Whats all connected to the N4. Do you're esc's get power from the N4, do you use the bluetooth module? Is your RX getting power from the M4?
