Dear Community
I am a student in Aviation in Zurich, Switzerland and work part time for the institute affiliated to the University. I was given the task to prepare laboratory exercises for the lecture that treats Human-Machine-Interaction. Since a great part of research is focused towards UAVs and their RPSs we believe that the M4 provides a valuable instrument to work with in the lab.
I wanted to use the opportunity to contact you as experts directly for some inputs and maybe to answer some questions.
- Is the M4 controllable from a Computer directly or is the groundcontrol software only used as a telemetry interface? In other words, can the Pilot sit in front of a computer and steer it with e.g. joysticks? Which Radio Dongles are available?
- How accurate is the inertial system onboard the M4? (exposed to drift)
- Do you think that a precision course could be flown indoors?
- Do you maybe have other ideas or concepts to treat the following subjects:
Manual Control (Human in the Control Loop), Information Output (Means of displaying Information), Operation, Automatisation, Assisting Systems, Training, Ergonomic Quality Assurance, Application
I thank you for your help in this early stage of preparation. I am sure a lot of this has already been discussed, if so I'd be thankful for the links to the topics
Best regards
