Pre-crimped wires with Molex Picoblade connector

Postby aBUGSworstnightmare » Mon Mar 09, 2015 2:35 pm

Hey guys,

as you know the M4 is delivered with 4 sockets for the onboard Motor connectors. They are from MOLEX Picoblade series (http://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/510210700_sd.pdf) .

The mating housing should be Molex 0510210200 (Digikey WM1720-ND), but since I don't want to crimp the cables by myself I'm looking for a source were I could by (cheap) pre-crimped wires (or even completed with the 2-pin connector housing).

Does anybody of you know a source?

Joerg

I did not use these to build the Nylon quads. Takes too long to get from China to US but if you don't mind the cheap wire, these should work.

I do have a set of these coming. Need to get a crimping tool.

Hi Larry,

thanks for the links; will sure get some.
Well, I want to make use of the onboard ESCs for signaling on the small quads. Since I still want to be able to swap the M4 between frames I would prefer to have connectors in place (instead of soldering the wire's directly).

P.s. I'm not in a hurry --> no problem to wait one month for them to show up!

Sure it is Molex and not JST?
These might work for SH3.

Joerg

I ordered these and they worked well for the five quads in the video and yes they are not the right ones but they seem work.

there ain't no such thing as a JST 1.25

JST 1.25 is just the popular name for the molex picoblade, e.g. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1493712

the bottom line, when you order a JST 1.25 via e.g. ebay and such you'll get a molex picoblade

O.K.! That was fast! Ordered on 09/03/15 (eBay) and received on 19/03/13 --> only 10 days from Hong Kong.

Quality looks good. Will now use them to add LEDs to the M4Q300 craft.
