Binding but not arming

Help!

M4v2 with ladybird reference parameters.

Tried internal receiver.Closed solder bridge..etc and orange ED shows binding but it won't arm.

This was using Devo 7e tx with deviation 4.

Got hold of an Orange tx (dsm2) and connected Orange satellite rx (after unbridging the jumper). Same thing..LED solid yellow but can't arm.

GCS shows radio is working OK.

Paramaters are straight from the AQ site.

Please..is there some way of forcing binding without the "throttle down and right" sequence? At this stage I'm completely frustrated and just want to know if the board works and motors will spin.

Do you use Quatos firmware? Have you submitted and saved your license key?

I ddn't think I was. I haven't ticked ant quatos boxes. I also thought that it came with a hobby lcence to 1kg? Do I have to pay a fee just to get the thing working?

No, the license is included. Check your entry in QGC. If there´s no lic_key submitted, the M4 won´t arm.
Either the key is printed on the bag the M4 came in or you can simply retrieve your key by submitting your serial number:

Key has been entered and is OK.

Radio quality is 100% and assignments, values seem to be fine.

Can you post a screenshot of the QGC radio setup screen, showing the live channel values you are trying to arm with? Maybe also your parameters file (save them with QGC Onboard Parameters -> Save File button).

Hi Davpep,

are your channels for Flight Mode and Home Action correctly set and showing the right values in QGC?
Both must show manual mode for arming to work, meaning Flight Mode must show a values below -350 and Home Action must show a value around 0.
Otherwise AQ will refuse to arm the motors.

Hooray! Frustrations (partially) removed. It was the Home and flight mode values. I'd set it up as Heli and this mapped a switch to the throttle and did other undesirable things. Now I just need to find out how to assign switches on the Orange Tx and all should be well..for a while.
