Hi Norbert,

it's almost the same size, than the 2S 1250mAh Lipo. Also the weight doesn't differ: Both battery packs weigh about 95g including cables and plugs.

I've got a similar pair of Li-Ion with even 3000mAh for testing but they only allow a discharge power of 10A so they will likekly be too weak for a copter but at least good enough for transmitters.

Very impressive. What cells did you test? I am also interested in the 10C cells. As long as the energy density is above 190Wh/Kg (preferably 220Wh/Kg) it is real alternative to LiPo which only go to 160Wh/Kg.
Since my last research by the end of 2014, obviously many things have changed.

Hi Christof,

these cells gave very good results: . Flight time is impressive and the power is good enough if you don't want to fly aerobatics. You can also fly flips and loops with the copter and these cells but you feel that you reach the battery's limits.

That's a good find.
According to the specs given, the energy density is 242Wh/Kg and that's top of the line at 10C.
The Panasonics have the same density but only 1C/2C loadable.
