It may be possible to have the code default ch6 to the manual position if no channel is decoded. This would allow manual flying with the 4 channel radios.

The default for channel 6 is already "manual" position but that's before any radio data comes in. Not sure what would happen if only 4 channels are being transmitted. But if it's actually a 6/7 ch. module then it's probably sending something on the extra channels anyway... question is what.

I don´t know this exact radio but some have a switch for flight modes which in most cases are gyro rate limiters.
So at least there´s a 5th channel in use...

Could you show me in the code where channel 6 would be set to less than -250 which would represent manual mode?
