Just post this here

Little bit of blue lockout and it was not possible to unscrew n4 without damage.

Can be a little tricky since the isolation of the coax tends to meld quite easy. This can result in a short circuit between GND and GPS signal.

Q3: Are there specific software settings i can change (baud rate) to promote a lock?

Download and install uBLOX uCENTER GNNS software - https://www.u-blox.com/en/evaluation-so ... enter.html.
Connect to the USB COM port at 1200 baud (tells the M4 that you want to speak directly to the GPS.) Turn on the NAV_SAT messages and you will get a graphic representation of satellites received, strengths and positions. GPS type is ublox8 for the M4r6 V2 production boards and uBlox7 for the BETA boards.

What info can you see normally with ucenter? I used it in the past with a modified NAZA GPS unit and I had a lot of info, satellites etc, but with M4 V2 and 1200 baud rate I only see 2D ACC, HDOP and PDOP parameters.

How enable NAV_SAT?

EDIT: Nevermind under the Receiver tab, click on Debug Messages and it enables NAV_SAT

Any plans for another Christmas sale on the M4? Btw the new combined m4 and expander prebuilt on via copter is pretty nice looking!

I am not immediately planning another christmas sale, but I might make some offers on the M4/N4 combo with a 25mm gps antenna and a new groundplane.

Viacopter runs low prices all year....there really is not that much leverage for !!! SPAM !!! and !!! SPAM !!!.... ;)

Thats a shame about the esc32...i was going to treat myself to a quatos quad for xmas!

Is it a total waste of time to try quatos with simonK esc's. ??

Hi whizz,
though the ESC32s are optimum for Quatos you can also use other ESCs but you will need a special firmware.
Use the fw wizard to select the fw for M4/Quatos/ext. ESCs:

AQ M4 on UDI U817 frame.
I am too lazy to measure prop thrust and describe frame in xml file. I just got parameters from reference Ladybird frame and little decreased L1_K1. Frame flies not bad.
