M4r4 Spektrum receiver dropouts

I have just tested this with the R412_8.5 fw off the FTP. Stock Ladybird frame with hubsan X4 props.

Works like a charm, no lockups in 3 flights of 8-9 mins. Havent done a range check or anything like that, but I could it fly as far away as I am comfortable with for such a small craft - about 50 meters, I think.

Didnt do a log. Can do some if needed....

Which fw are you using? RADIO_TYPE param is deprecated, replaced with RADIO_SETUP. The former still works for now during a transition period, and the numbering for that is still the old style, starting with -1 instead of zero.

So if you have r413 or later, set RADIO_SETUP = 7 param in the parameters tree. And leave RADIO_TYPE as -1. This will work with current QGC releases (though radio type will stay as "Select..." in the options box).

That's all you need plus a 31mm antenna soldered on the open pad by the RX chip. Make sure you don't complete the jumper connection.

Bills photo shows a nice clean jumper install.
