Nice Menno. Whatcha using for a ground plane there? Piece of PCB? I didn't have very good luck with unshielded antenna, took forever to get an accurate position. 49g is with the Nano accu + 7mm motors? That's not bad. With 8mm motors the capacity increases quite a bit... as does the power draw of course. Haven't pushed to find the limit yet.

Yep, Han[n|g]over, that's the plan... maybe with a couple different frames/motors. Might be able to fit it all inside my Tx.

I'll have to check the antenna, good to know. Yea with a full size patch it gets very quick good lock. My test space wasn't very open either.

My M4 Quad, full carbon fiber with CNC machine, Full kit and motor = 148g.

Fly with battery 2S 2200x2 at 30 minute hover. I'll post video later.

Nice setup. The battery will be around 250 g so the total weight without around 400 g.

Are the motors MN1804 with 6" props?

6 Li-ions 18650B cells would give a real long flight time if you use a very small camera and gimbal.

I have been flying this M4 quad for a couple of month's and it's been a lot of fun. It's very easy to FPV especially inside the house. You can goof and bump a wall, the ceiling or the dog and nobody gets in hurt.

I've let several people fly their first FPV with it and all have done very well. The simple CNC frame file is attached.
It weighs about 46 grams with 380mah battery with FPVhobby's 5.8 TX ant combination and micro camera that I'm not sure where I got it.

If you saw it already and the link broke it's youtube's audio editing isn't working correctly, I've tried to add audio twice and it just get's stuck in the editing mode.

Seems the sheet thickness is set up as 1,5 mm or thereabouts?

You are gluing (CA?) the motors to the frame? No other support, like sewing thread? Pls show a closeup..

You are gluing pieces of CF rod into the post mounts? And Fixing controller in place with silicone tube?
