Build TBS Disco modded to X8 AQ FC and ESC32

Looks like the FC is supposed to be mounted between bother center plates.
If you take a look at the second image in the first post: the upper plate (which is the lower one in the build) shows significant 4,5x4,5 pattern holes in the center left from the golden square.

Roger that, significant 45x45mm pattern detected... Wasn't sure what it was going on that side of the board though. Will be interesting to find out how it does inside all that copper... might be good, depending on the power trace routing. Built-in groundplane.

Well, personally I dont like that frame much. Or I'd turn it upside down and mount the FC on top.
Every change in the wiring would require a complete dismanteling. Though it protects the FC quite well it only comes handy with a Naza.

Lets see understand your points though. Compared to my other FPV frames it give me the best results for my VTX and Ezuhf setup thats are always the same on all the FPV birds ! Also knowing that its being used with other FC other than naza like OP CC with good results, i dint think the AD6 will have any problems with the given power trace routing.

If necesary mounting on top shouldn't be a problem at all, can drill holes anywhere on the top plate. As far a i understand the AD6 logs every fart so testing were there are less disturbances vibs wise, interference for the sensors shouldn't be a problem ? with full throttle test on the table.

It has more to do with the usability and accessability of parts on the FC once mounted to that frame.
I have one of those DJI 450 frames here with a Crius board and everything needs to be mounted before you mount the top plate. Otherwise you need to dismount the top again and again...

Added small heatsinks instead of the big one. Max 17A per motors and ESCs are directly under the porpwash to those should do !

Gonna write up some impressions and steps later on.

I wish. Now normal work kicks in or should and my CNC guys for the new arms will take till next week ! But static calibration should be done before the weekend. Just have to look for a fast computer, running windows on vmware on a mac will not do it !

Just on my way to a electronics shop does one of you know what the plug called for the RX connection to the AQ ?
