Thanks again for the info guys.
Looking forward to a future update with altitude hold mode.
In the meantime I will do some work to try and tune nav pids.

There is one more thing that I'm unclear about.
I've done the full freeze/thaw/calibso and it seemed to work really great. however, I think my board is not mounted absolutely perfectly level on my frame and as a result the copter wants to roll to the left consistently. Is there a way sort of relevel the horizon while still using my full freeze/thaw/calibso calibration? My understanding that TARE will wipe that full calibration away. Thanks!

+1 vote for baro only altitude hold please.

I had a job the other day which involved flying in an area underneath a concrete overpass with some view of the sky, but a lot of it blocked, so in order to guarantee I wouldn't have GPS related handling issues I had to disconnect the GPS antenna, and it was a real pain when moving between shooting in this space, and reconnecting it when I was shooting in a space with a clear view of the sky.
