the relationship between RC thro and Motor settings

Postby jet » Mon Feb 09, 2015 10:40 am

Hi, all.
I had two questions regarding radio calibration and motor settings.

First, as Fig. 1 shown, how to let the value of RC thro be 0% and 0?
The current values are 0% and -94.
I had tried many tunings; however, the value of RC could still not be matched.
My RC is Spektrum 7S and AR8000 receiver.

Second, as Fig. 2 shown, based on the abovementioned settings of my RC, I calibrated my motors.
Through my servo tester, the min/max values of RC thro were 1065/1938.
So, how to set the value of Motor/ESC settings?
What are the correct values of Arm/Min./Starting/Max. PWM?

Thanks for help.

Jet

You need to reverse the throttle in the RC transmitter.

You have two way to get your ESC to work with the AQ board.

1. Raise the Min. PWM: value in the QGC's "Misc. Settings" so it is greater than your ESCs minimum PWM value. So Min. PWM > 1065

2. Or you can lower the PWM value that your ESC is calibrated at, so it would be less than 1000.

Hi, Larry.
Thanks for your reply.
I revisedthe configuration of RC, especially for throttle.
I changed the values of min/max percentage and trim regarding throttle.
However, the values were always 0% and 94.
So, I was confused.

Also, based on your suggestion, I had finished the motor settings.
Thanks again.

Jet

Here's a link to the Spektrum Tx manual.

http://www.spektrumrc.com/prodinfo/files/dx7_manual.pdf

Page 28 shows how to reveres servos. Your throttle is on channel 1 so you need to reveres channel 1 as shown in the manual.
