ACC X and ACC Y not sitting on 0?

Postby hogster » Tue May 20, 2014 9:34 pm

Hi all :)

Does anyone know why my ACC X and ACC Y plots aren't sitting / averaging around 0? ACC Y is particularly off – sitting around +1G the whole time?

This data was from my last flight, not bench testing.

Do you think it's a calibration problem?

Many thanks for any help :) David

PS. I know that's a horrible amount of vibration :( I'm looking into it ...

Make sure the board sits level, make a log or look at telemetry. You should be very close to 0 on X and Y with the board level and Z should be close to -9.806 (1G)

If the board is level and your Y is off by 1, you need to recalibrate If you use a DIMU you can use Tare and onboard mag calibration for a quick calibration:

Hi Jussi,

Many thanks for the feedback :)

Seems slightly odd that I should have this offset after doing a full static / dynamic calibration? Thanks for the links though, that looks like new information for the Wiki? I will follow its guidance and let you know how I get on :)

Thanks again, David
