Square steps on gyro log

I'm just redoing my calibration, and the gyro log has square steps on it. The board still had the previous set of parameters on it when I made this log. I remember seeing someone else with this result but can't find the thread now.

Is this a problem, or is it just a result of having the old (bad) parameters still loaded? Will it be ok to use for the calculations?

I only saw results like this when I use an SD card that was too slow to record the data.

Gaps in the log would account for this behavior. Check the "MICROS" log field. It should contain a monotonously incrementing integer. If it has discontinuities, then the logging is somehow the problem. If not, then the sensors are to blame.

Sorry, I don't see any log with MICROS in the name? It's not LOG_LASTDATE? That gives a straight line on the first log.

I've just done another log run and this time the gyro readings appear to look normal. I guess i'll just discard that first one.

There's just a small spike on this one now, would that affect the calculations much?
