Simplified calibration procedure?

Postby HeliHenkie » Fri Jan 18, 2013 9:38 pm

Hi all,

Somewhere on the forum I read about the developers working on an easier calibration procedure (don't remember where exactly). Are there new developments In the near future concerning the calibration procedure? I'm kind of stuck with the current procedure.

Best regards,

You can simplify the procedure by only doing one static file with the board horizontal. But the quality of that file has to be very good.

But the hard part is still the dynamic procedure. If you take care with it, you will be able to get a good result, but if you screw it up, then your result will be screwed too. The key is to go slow and avoid sudden stops, jerks or jolts. The dance should take at least 5 minutes, but 7 minutes are better.

Start by posting some screenshots of the sensors from your last static and dynamic files, maybe we can identify where you are going wrong.

There is beeing research made into calibration, but dont hold your breath waiting for it. It may or may not succeed, and there is no deadlines.
