How to arm aq using dx8

Hi guys,

It may be a very simple question, but all suggestions are appreciated.

I have flashed the firmware to aq. The receiver and dx8 are paired.

Now I power up the aq, turn on the transmitter DX8, but the green led on the aq keeps flashing. How can I arm the aq?

Also I am a little bit confused about the connection between ESCs and AQ.
Can I simply do like this?

Which firmware are you using and which QGC?
Did you already configure your radio properly like described here?

In your case radio_type is -1 and radio_setup is 16

You don´t need to connect UARTs of AQ & ESC- where did you read that?

To power the ESCs via 5V of the PWMs you need to solder the correct jumper on the ESC AND the 5V jumper on the AQ to output 5V on the middle pin:
