My Flyduino USB to UART adapter has died, however i do have a TTL -232R-5V USB to serial lead; will this be ok to use on AQ?
I ask because I've always used the AQ side of the flyduino adapter which is rated for 3V, should i remove the positive lead before using or is 5V across the pins ok?

Hi James
You must not use the 5V cable. It could kill your AQ. The signal wires use 5V as well. Use a 3.3V FDTI instead.

Hi,
According with STM32F417 manual, chapter "Pinouts and pin description", the USART pins are "5 V tolerant I/O". I use 5V FT232RL for very long time without problems.
