AQ6 MavLink Control

Postby poirierp » Tue Feb 04, 2014 5:11 pm

Hello I am new to the forum and AQ so forgive me if this has already been answered (I did a search but only found older posts that seem to indicate an answer but noting conclusive).

The MavLink protocol allows for the option to take over the controls from the radio input so that the entire system could be controlled, both automatic and manual, through the MavLink interface. I am getting the impression that this functionality has not been built into the AQ6 firmware functionality but was hoping that it might be as I am looking to potentially run all controls through the MavLink protocol to avoid having two data links.

Any help/info would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi and welcome to the forums. Asking questions is encouraged around here, so no worries :)

However, your impression is correct. AQ firmware doesn't have such functionality at this time, and the control UI has been removed from our version of QGC to avoid confusion. I think it would be a nice feature, but I guess no one has needed it enough to code it yet. :)

Cheers,
