Hi bluuu,

a few questions regarding the LED connections, do they support 12V LEDs with 50mA?
Which of the two pads is plus, and which one is minus? Am I correct when I assume that minus is the one near the edge of the board.
On the M4 extension board, I have for UART 5V-Rx-Tx-GND, on the OSD board mention RST-Rx-Tx-GND, the last three pins is clear, but for the first one RST, what is this? Is it needed?

LED powering is made direct from power connector to "lower" pins
"upper" are to GND (via transistors in ULN chip)

To uart connect only GND and RX (from AQ TX) rest of pins are for setup screen display (and changing FW)

Hi bluuu,

do you mean the LED are to be connected that way?

no ! "- " on your "red", "+" on green

Adam,
what about updating your images and transfer the info to the Wiki?

Image
Going from this image I´d expected the GND on the outer row (like on many other boards).
Looks like thered graph is pointing at the positive pole.

This is not a final design. In this version +Vcc is on edge row (track wire is on bottom side).

I'll write wiki page soon.

First test on ground looks very promising.
The board is a little bit big and heavy for my Hexa based on M4, but I assume that once testing is over and if it is made available for sale for AutoQuad users, it might be build using SMD technology and thus gets smaller and lighter.
I will further report from my tests, but maiden flight will not be before February as I first need to finish building the hexa.

thanks for opinion

The heaviest element is shielded inductor. Together with capacitor it makes simple camera & VTX power supply filter. Problem with noise or horizontal strips and other distortions are a very often problem in FPV flying. This simple filter can eliminate it. Other "big"element is linear voltage regulator. It is better then switching regulator because of noise. Additional THT resistors are a voltage divider (its my mistake (I missed it) on "early alfa" pcbs ;) )

About dimensions. It is a "standard" 50x50 with "standard" 45x45 between holes for make it simple to mount.
I can make it smaller but ... what about mounting ? And what about connectors ... I like "standard" 2.54 raster pins I can change it for small connectors but ... pico connectors ... :/

Hi bluuu,

Thanks for your explanation.
As I plan to also use LEDs connected to it, I have one question about the connections, how much current do the connection support? Can I connect LED drawing 150mA in total directly to the OSD board (50mA per LED connection LED1, LED2 and GPS Fix LED)?
If not, it is not a problem I would then realize it differently.
