Strange telemetry Problem...

So when i connect to the AQ via the FTDI cable i receive all my telemetry information, i have flow control turned on. However when i connect via my RFD900 (3DR Modem equivalent) i have flow control turned on but cannot receive all my telemetry information. Interestingly the HUD, compass, battery status and GPS information works but not the live telemetry information. If i flow control turned off then no information is available.

Also, the mavlink data plot works but only displays when i have ground time selected.

I have tried GCS 1.2.1, 1.3 B1 and 1.3 B2 with the same result

Any help would be much appreciated

FC = flow control (in this case). But you're right, I don't see that as a setting for 3DR radio either. Specs say the FC is "adaptive." How are you hooking it up to the AQ, just 4 wires? I've never had to use FC with any of my AQs, but I don't use any FTDI adapters either (SiLabs and some other one).

Im just using the Tx and Rx FTDI pins and obtaining power from a 5V BEC

Do you have a ground wire direct from AQ to the radio? You'll want that.

No i dont just from the UBEC, but i will try that. - thanks

Unfortunaetly that didnt work. Im gonna try a different firmware in the Modems to see if that makes a difference.

I ended up getting this to work by downgrading the firmware. The RFD900 has had a recent firmware upgrade that allows Multipoint point networking (or controlling multiple modems from the one ground station) I guess its not compatible with AQ.
