Stack overflow

Sometimes in the Communication Console in qgcs I get a repeating message:
(MAV 064:MISSION) Potential stack overflow [7]!

It doesn't appear to affect anything, I usually just reboot, but just wanted to be sure it was nothing to be concerned about.

It's quite something to be concerned about - do not fly in this condition.

The message was setup to try to help debug problems with memory allocation. It should not happen with un-modified code, but there could be bugs lurking. What version of the firmware and where did you get it?

Running the unmodified 6.6 hex posted on the AQ site.

I get it intermittently when I try to connect to qgcs or the android app. Should I reflash?

Hi,

I had seen also this message. I used same 6.6hex file from "Downloads page". After reboot is OK.

I am running 6.6. Hex and never saw this message. But I will have a closer look.

Come to think of it, that function might not exist in QGC. This should work: read your parameters in QGC, update the version number to 0, then write the parameters, then store to flash. On the next boot, you should have clean factory defaults.
