Field PID tuning, saving params

Postby GoFaster » Wed Aug 08, 2012 3:56 pm

About to head out for some PID tuning.

When adjusting parameters with the Windows QGC, after transmitting, are the new parameters effective immediately?
Clicking Write(ROM) saves the parameters to the STM32's flash mem and appears to reset the AQ. Can someone confirm this?

I plan to use the Android QGC to do field PID tuning. Same questions, are the parameters effective immediately and does the "Save" button in the PID screen write to flash?

I'm only familiar with other boards where you have to write to flash AND reboot the flight controller for parameter changes to take effect.

Thanks.

the board does not have to reset. just land, change pid, save, fly, repeat as necessary
