artificial horizon in qgcs

Postby chris24g » Tue Jul 24, 2012 4:16 am

the artificial horizon is fine in the pitch axis, but the roll axis seems to be reversed. that is, when i roll right, i expect the horizon to be higher on the right, and vice versa.

Look at the arrows next to one of the mounting holes, the arrows points forward

Hold the board with the arrows direction pointing away from you.

If you are holding the board backwards [arrow direction pointing toward you] roll will appear to be reversed.

The green line is the aircraft

i have the board correctly oriented. the status LEDs are to the rear of the craft

in this screengrab, I am tilting the craft to the right, but the HUD should show the horizon tilting the opposite way

It's a bug in the HUD.
It's already been corrected in the latest revision. So don't worry...

I am still having the same issue even after loading the new R19 firmware and using the new android app. Is this bug still there?

I don't think the Android app ever had this bug. How is your AQ board mounted? Corner or edge forward?

Which orientation, edge or corner?

If edge, make sure IMU_ROT = 0
If corner, make sure IMU_ROT = -45

not sure what you mean? My board is straight with led to the back and connectors to the front.
