Just wondering which version of easycap is required for live video, and can someone please provide a link to purchase.

Many thanks

Yes James, it is, but the driver that is installed requires a rooted custom firmware for your android device. Peter tailored it for a galaxy s3 with CM firmware instead of the stock 4.3 firmware..

http://autoquad.org/software-downloads/?did=132 (also downloadable from our FTP ftp://ftp.autoquad.org/3/334693_22529/g ... l/Android/ )

Changes:
- Fixed parameter input bug
- Video fpv sudo rights added
- Video capturing function added!
- Tested Follow me feature
- Updated USB-serial lib (needs testing)

Today i finally had chance to try the 0.3.0 version of Android App.
When I switch on the follow me mode I could see information about my movements on the screen. However my quad was hung in the same possitiion not doing anything.
I tried to put the quad into the mission mode, but the Android App was complaining about the quad not being in possition hold. So I switch it back to possition hold, but again with no success. It was just hung in the air.

My setup is following: Board - AQ 6.1, RC Futaba SG14, Connection with Android 4.2.2 tablet via bluetooth.
i am using firmware 6.7 r224 and Andorid App 0.3.0.
I can also confirm that there is no connection problem between the tablet and quad, as I can clearly see how Android application relects the state of the quad.

Can somebody please let me know if there is something wrong in my setup, or I am doing wrong things during the flight.

I had the same result as you using an Android Razr Maxx, Android app 0.3.5 and r397 FW.

Hi,

on my Sony Xperia Ion with Android 4.1.2, and FW r397 version 0.3.5 is working. But a few questions araise:
* on the map I see two points quite near to each other, one green arrow and one blue dot or arrow (depending) with a light blue circle around it. What are they representing?
* is there a documentation for the app somewhere?
Best regards,

For "follow me" you need a special fw. I will upload the changes.

Blue dot is the smartphone.

Hi Sandmen,

thanks for the clarification. I do not need any other fw, I use the fw for the HoTT native telemetry and I do not plan to use "follow me" at the moment.
Bluetooth and the app are more for planning a mission or changing parameters on the field without having to carry a laptop with me.
