QGroundControl Mac OS X is not calculation

Postby amb » Sun Feb 03, 2013 3:26 pm

Hey Guys,

my Groundstation is'n calculating any values. I read the log files into the station and i created para file. Everything is fine. Now, when i hit the step1 calc button nothing happens. On my Windows machine, there is some activity and i got a result after a few seconds.

Is this a bug in the Mac OS X version?

Best regards,

Hello amb, welcome to the forums!

Regarding this QGC version:

+ First OS X release — experimental! Does NOT include cal.exe and sim3.exe parameter calculation utilities (calculations need to be done on Win/Linux for now).

Sorry. Since the Mac version seems to be a success, hopefully we can run the calculation utilities on that platform as well, but I can't promise that since I'm not familiar with their inner workings.

Cheers,

Hi Boris, sorry for the late reply. Currently this is still not working on OS X. I have it almost there... But due to some issue with capturing output from the sim3 program, it is not possible to complete all the calculations from within QGC. It does work from a command-line though, so I might just release the current version as-is (better than nothing, right?). A simple copy/paste of each sim3 command into a terminal window would be required.

Cheers,

Hi Max,

if you get to it it would be cool if you release the command line tool ! Only have windows running under Vmware were I cant use more than 2 cores. But only if its no extra effort.

Thanks !
