The TXE's measure current and voltage and include a transmitter to send the data to the cockpit. All values are stored and calculated in the TXE and sent to the Cockpit if the link is available. This is very usefull if you are far away or the antenna is behind the plane for a while.
All other sensors like the exp-Lipo6 can be connected to the TXE. What we need is the current measurement to get the mAh used/available. And thats in the TXE.
Maybe the Multiplex Sensors, SM Unilog Sensors or Jeti (MUI) would be an Option too. I used to use Jeti before IISI was born. The Jeti sensors are sensors only. Transmission is done thru the Radio RX back channel analog to HoTT but I guess the protocoll is not open source although SM Modellbau is supporting the protocoll.
I was thinking of IISI because it is a small very innovative company and therefore could be willing to support the AQ project.
Does the AQ have an analog input port? If so, the cheapest way would be to use the AttoPilot sensor as ArduPilot does. . I used to use this sensor with the AC project, but was never very happy with the results. But maybe that was due to the incomplete implementation into AC at that time.
