AQ get stuck at waypoint

Postby chris24g » Mon Nov 12, 2012 4:08 am

I am having hit and miss success with missions. For example, if I set 4 waypoints, sometimes the AQ will successfully navigate to the 1st waypoint, then proceed to the 2nd, but then gets stuck there, presumably because it is at the wrong altitude. I thought it would time out and go to the next, but it just sits there. I have tried setting altitude to 0 and expanding the waypoint radius, but it has no effect. Am I overlooking something?

Log file, mission parameters would give us a better idea of what could be happening. :)

Relative/absolute alt?

Make sure your throttle is dead centered.

Make the radius some bigger, so it 'knows' easier that it hits the WP.

The heigth is the key. If stick is not perfectly centered at 700 pwm +- 40 (dead band) it will go up/down slightely avoiding a perfect WP.

You can increase also the deadband value and/or add the Max mod to decouple from the rest of sticks

Yes, looks like the Tx has to be perfectly centered to automate the mission. I get the most reliable results if I engage position hold, let the craft stabilize, then trigger the mission.
