RC-adjustable parameters firmware update

Hi Max,

i went back to latest next, reseted the config to default an flashed the newest firmware again, but still stuck with red LED.

I have SBUS connected, Joergs expansion board and 4 Kiss ESC's.

it seems something is wrong with the file from the AQ FTP server, at least for me.

A self compiled version is booting fine now.

Hi Heiko, good thought, but the checksum looks good. I'm at a loss to what he problem might be, but I'll keep thinking on it. My M4r5 setup is quite similar to yours (SBUS/KISS but with N4 expander), even the param settings are close. If you can detach the AQ from the expander board w/out ripping too much apart, I would try that next. There must be some difference we're not picking up on.

PS. just saw your later post... good news! I wonder what is up with the file-- I used the same one, though not d-loaded from FTP. Maybe I'll try that.

The file I tried and on FTP are identical. One difference would be that your own version (I assume) doesn't have Quatos code/params included. I wonder if that's where the problem lies... all my test subjects have had Quatos versions on them at one point or another. But that still doesn't really explain why b1887 from FTP would work, but not the latest version.

Oh well, if this was simple, everyone would be doing it, right?

Heiko, here's a version w/out Quatos at all. I'd be curious if this boots OK on your system. Or for that matter if the FTP version of 1891 w/quatos now boots OK after you got your own build running on there. Obviously, this is bugging me.

New version posted to FTP, 7.1.1892, fixes possible issue with some Quatos configs which use negative Thrust Factor A1/A2 values.

Hi Max,

your v7.1.1892 without quatos works just fine, going back to v7.1.1892 with quatos doesn't.

I never used quatos with this M4, so maybe there are some issues with some parameters. Maybe you can upload your parameter file, which i can try to narrow things down.

I was able to install it on an M4V2 and N4
but I couldnt figure out how to set the limits and scales correctly
the values where all over the place even after rebooting
need to try it more today
