Latest fw problem with sbus

Postby leopold1 » Thu Apr 30, 2015 2:12 pm

I'm trying to get the latest fw from the fw wizard.
Loading of aqv7.1.1852-hwv6.0-dimu1.1 goes ok but when I select Sbus, write parameters and then reboot, the debug led turn solid red.
I disconnect sbus rx and its gone.
When I reconnect the problem returns.
I used a second sbus rx with the same indication.
Then I used fw aqv7.0.r442.b1848-hwv6.0-dimu1.1 with the same indication.

With my previous fw autoquad_hott_dimu_r416_aq6r0 all is ok.

Hi Leopold1,

What type/brand Rx do you have?
If you flash back to r416 does it work again?
Did you maybe try a spare inverter?

Cheers,
Ray

The function of the debug LED has changed at some point. Solid-on now indicates a valid radio connection. But please verify everything is working properly by connecting to QGC after the update.

I'm using the frsky receivers. If revert back it works.

OK, didnt know about the new function in the latest fw. Tested the radio channels and everything seemed to be working ok, even arming. But I wasn't hesitant to fly with the debug led on.

Hope it works;-)

Its not a problem to use the latest fw. Flies OK with the debug led on.

RC channels monitoring is not active when sbus enabled. When I connected another reciever with sbus output nothing changed.
PPM works well and channels monitoring widges is active.

Did you save the radio setting to permanent memory and then restart the AQ?

How do you have the Rx hooked up?

When you say the channel monitor is "not active," do you mean they graphs don't move, or that the graphs are disabled (gray/dim colored)?

Which firmware version are you using? The latest Beta release is recommended, though the latest experimental version is also quite stable.

SBus definitely works and definitely with X8R. So check all your steps and hookups again, to be sure...

Yes. Settings was saved and controller was rebooted. Monitoring widget is active, but graphs is not moving when i move sticks.

Reciever connected through these pads http://autoquad.org/wp-content/uploads/ ... o-pads.jpg

When i connect my D4R-II - all works well. Bars is moving. When switch controller to SBUS mode (Radio 2 option) - bars not moving.
