Flight mode

I want to undersand how navigation works on autoquad for a student project. That's why I want to create a kind of new flight mode, an hybrid mode. I works a little bit on Ardupilot before but the flights mode on autoquad seem really differents. I can't find how ALTHOLD works for example. Someone could help me to understand the flight mode code ?
