Hello,

i heard, that a Oktocopter would fly more stable, when the props spin in cw, cw, ccw, ccw and not in the normal cw, ccw, cw, ccw. What do you think about this?

I think its nonsens...

If you have 2 props next to each other going the same direction you will in practice be turning your flat octo into a quad...more or less.

Each time you yaw you will loose pitch/roll stability, since the thrust loss that comes from yawing will have to be balanced out by the adjacant pair of props going in the opposite direction, instead of beeing countered by the prop right next to it.

It probably also would make it much harder to sustain a prop failure in flight.
