recommendations for fastening board

What are the recommendations for fastening the board to the frame? Rigidly or through the dampers?

That's not decided yet - whatever works best for you. I've used plastic and rubber standoffs and didn't see a difference.
You could start with plastic bolts which break off on impact and therefor offer a bit protection for the board.

On that quad I'm using those well known M3 rubber standoffs, 8x8mm or 8x15mm
