I would like to know if it is possible to manually control the Autoquad via the telemtry data link?

Hi,

you mean manually fly it via telemetry? Then no: you can only fly missions via the ground stations QGC or Android.

Mavlink has the ability to fly via GCS. If you write your own GCS and fw add ons, it should be possible. When I remember right, HappyKillmore did something like that in the DIYDrones project.

We have the possibility to set targets and the command to 'fly to'. In the follow me / fly to option this is used. So the GCS (Android app) sets a new target and the AQ will fly to that. That can obviously be a continuous stream of commands..

The mavlink message that we use is defined as 'external_gps'
