Hi Guys,

My board had a broken mSD latch mechanism when i got it and in the process of repairing it I was disappointed to see that the board uses the very old and now EOLed IDG500 gyros. I assume either you have a huge supply of these or the production boards will have a current production gyro. Is that a fair assumption? It also appears you have provision to add a seperate IMU via the pads on the top of the board.

It's not that I think idg500's are bad but they are know to not be very vibration tolerant. Is there any part of the calibration process that could be simplified with a later gyro?

The IDGs were chosen by purpose though we knew its EOL - we have stock.
And for experiments with other sensors you can use the daughter board option.

For now I expect to use the IDG500's on the board. Perhaps in the future I'll take a look at other sensors. Do you have a part number and/or source for the connector to enable plugging in a daughter board?
