Send Waypoints by Telemetry Project

Postby Dju » Thu Jun 19, 2014 3:18 pm

Hi everybody,

In my school project, I have to find a way to send gps cordinates to my drone using a telemetry kit. I'm using a 3DR telemetry Kit. I don't know yet if it's possible to controle a drone thank to a laptop and a telemetry kit, but I have to try.
I know and find in the on board code how to receive data from to drone to the laptop, but I really don't know if the other way it's possible. Do you have an idea ?

Of course it is possible, we have a full duplex ground station communication. It is based on mavlink. A more or less standardized protocol that allows communication from and to the flightcontroller.
Controlling the flightcontroller, or more accurate, controlling the position request from another device is also possible.
