here is how I do my orbits, set a waypoint at the center of where you want to orbit with 2m radius,then copy your WP using + in GCS change it to orbit, set your radius to how big of orbit you want, speed and time it will work every time. I have found if you only have just orbit with no wp first it will orbit until you get dizzy.

Skew, thanks for the info.

When you set hit radius for the waypoint that is also the center for the orbit, do you set it as big or bigger than the orbit radius. Will it go to the center first, then start orbiting?

I alway set the waypoint for 2m and this will be the center of orbit. It will travel to wp and move out to your orbit
radius. I have not tried it yet but if you set the wp to the same as your radius it should just orbit and not goto the center.
