board powering issue

Postby bjhedgeb » Tue Jul 28, 2015 6:48 pm

Hey Everyone,
I was having some problems with one of my Autoquads (the board specifically). Currently, when I connect the Autoquad battery, the esc motors begin to blink red BUT the AQ6 board itself does not show any lights (not even for the manual control receiver or for the bluetooth). Consequently, the Autoquad cannot fly.
My first thought was that somehow, the board got fried. But the esc motors are connected to the board and are receiving power.
Has anyone run into this problem? Is the board actually fried or is there something that can be done.
I appreciate any help given.

Hi bjhedgeb,

The AQ6 has 2 dc/dc(recom) converters, one of them powers the flightcontoller logic and the other the pwm ports that you connected the esc on. If your lucky it's just one of the dc/dc converters that is fried, you could measure them to see if they give any power.

Cheers Ray
