ESC32 Live Telemetry Widget in QGC 1.6x

Max has integrated a new Widget in QGC for ESC32 Live Telemetry

You can select it from the "Tool Widgets" menu.

Does anybody know which of the features/displays should work with the ESC32v2?

The documentation does not clarify:
"... QGC Widget for ESC32 Live Telemetry
There´s a new telemetry widget embedded in QGC 1.6x. Some displays only work for either the ESC32v2 or the upcoming ESC32v3. ...."


I use the ESC32v2, firmware version 2.0.0. 6129 r49.
However, none of the displays seem to work.

The MSG LOG file shows:
----------- ESC32: CAN ID: 1, ver: 2.0.0
----------- ESC32: CAN cannot read parameters
Does anybody else have this message in his MSG LG file?

It will all work with either ESC version. You need the latest AQ firmware, 7.1.1852 (on FTP and d-load wizard). With ESC v2 you get Error Count instead of Temperature, but that's the only difference.

As for your startup error in msg log, I'm not sure... It found the ESC on the CAN bus, but why it can't pull the params I don't know offhand. Do all the ESCs do that?

I should have noticed the ESC version... that's fairly old and before the params-over-CAN feature was added. I'd update to the latest: ftp://ftp.autoquad.org/3/334693_22529/esc32-firmware/ You'll need that for ESC telemetry as well.
